Stir fry sauce for a sunny day

Mondays are always hard especially after a fun weekend, we had gone for a cycle adventure around the marshes and found some new spots we want to explore further next time, potentially with a picnic.

In the meantime, having an easy meal for Mondays is something we’ve learnt because you never know how they’ll go so it’s sous vide bavette for dinner. Whilst waiting for James to finish his calls, I decided to prep for tomorrow’s dinner.

Ingredients (for 4 portions of noodles)

  • 1 tbsp cornflour
  • 1 tbsp light soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Chinese wine
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • dash of sesame oil
  • flavourings – chinese five spice, ginger, garlic, anything you feel like
  • 12 tbsp warm water (ie triple the sauce mixture with water)

Method

  • Combine ingredients in jar
  • Shake up and add to noodle mixture

If using for stir fry vegetables only to have with rice, do 1/3 of the recipe.

It should keep in the fridge for a few weeks if making up a batch.
